Comparison between corsika and the Elbert model

Introduction

We see a big difference in Npe distribution between corsika data and observational data. (Corsika data: SYBILL (ECUTS: 1TeV, MinEnergy: 100GeV))

On the other hand, the Elbert model express our data quite reasonablly, though we should not forget we change some parameters in the model to express our data.

You can find a documentataion for the Elbert model here (written by Shigeru et al.)

Since Henrike's sample cotains only zenith angle < 10 deg., I put a cut of ZA < 30 deg. and dist < 600. m for the fair comparison.

corsika files I generated (low threshold (273 GeV), minimum energy is 0 GeV)

corsika files I generated (high threshold (1TeV)) (in-ice energy is wrong)

corsika files Henrike generated (in-ice energy is wrong)

corsika files I generated (low threshold (273GeV)) (in-ice energy is wrong)
